Fuel Injector stuck in Head. I am in the middle of a head gasket repair, and have gotten the passenger side head torn completely down, except for one thing, the #7 injector is stuck in the head. I've got the hold-down screw loose, and the hold down block itself will wiggle around, but the injector itself acts like it is frozen in the head.
Install a flare nut wrench onto J-46594 and pull back away from the fuel injector, until the injector releases from its seat. Remove J-46594. Remove the fuel injectors with brackets. If necessary, remove the fuel injector bracket pins. If necessary, remove and discard the copper washer from the fuel injector bore.

It's probably carbon lodged between the injector nozzle and the head holding it tight. Similar to what the two piece spark plugs did back in the early 2000's. Keep hammering and it will come. It may take a little movement up then pecking back down over and over again before it finally gives it up. G'luck.
Therefore a V8 will have a maximum compensation of 1 without indicating a problem. If the engine has a fault such as valve or compression leak, compensations will show high and can be incorrectly diagnosed as injector problems. When removing injectors, the ultimate goal is to remove them without damaging them or other engine components.
Don't use an easy out. Use a flat blade screw driver because if the easy out bites into the cast iron cylinder head you will never get it out. Besides the easy out is too short. a light tap on the screw driver will drive it into the hole of the copper. then twist it and it comes out stuck on the end of the driver.
Remove the metal clamp that secures the fuel injector to the fuel rail. Grasp the fuel injector and remove it from the fuel rail. If the fuel injector is difficult to remove, try turning it back and forth while pulling until it comes free. Check inside the fuel rail to make sure none of the injector o-rings came off during removal.
You can clearly see the pink washer fluid residue on the casting cavity around the injector . A simple injector replacement became a major undertaking as the washer fluid, which is corrosive fused the injector into the cylinder head. You can compare the broken partitions at front to the new ones in the box, it’s actually made out of 3 pieces.
